Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Place the butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and melt it in the preheated oven. Once melted, remove the dish from the oven.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  7. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture. For a crispier topping, sprinkle oats or chopped nuts over the batter before adding the peaches. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
