Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. Place in large bowl and drizzle with olive oil, tossing to coat evenly.
- Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in small bowl. Sprinkle seasoning over chicken drumsticks, rubbing into skin for even coverage.
- Whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke (if using) in another bowl to create the glaze.
- Arrange seasoned drumsticks on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wire rack. Bake for 25 minutes, then brush generously with BBQ glaze and bake another 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush with remaining glaze and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Use a wire rack for even cooking and crispy skin. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Apply glaze in multiple layers for best results. Always use meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F internally.
